Broken.
A broken family.
Broken hearts.
A broken boy.He lives in the world people would describe as broken. Yelling, fights and hatred. A house full of blame and self loathing.
He was only a child when he learnt the word. A small child learning that reality is broken. That life isnt fair.
Not for Tommy.
He was broken with no escape. No glue to piece himself back together. The child - almost adult - surviving 13 years of broken, finally shatters.—------------

Summary
The royal family of Antarctic empire isn’t exactly close.
Emperor Philza is always occupied; Tommy hasn’t seen Techno in months, and even if Wilbur is here, their relationship can be described to be strained at best.
The royal family doesn’t need to be close, however, it only needs to be balanced, like the pillars holding the country above their heads – as long as they are strong and steady, the Empire will be too. It’s the principle that held Tommy’s back straight and his shoulders broad through the years of hardships and trials of errors; through yet another formal meeting where his father’s gaze would look past him and where his brother’s words would be filled with poison that makes the deepest parts of his soul ache.
At that time, Tommy couldn't know that his family would find a replacement for him in the face of a commoner boy named Ranboo.

Summary
Tommy remembers a time where he idolized the heroes on the screens. He remembers a time where his breath would fog up the glass on Christmas morning as he stared at a window with toys. Heroes monetized. Tommy hadn't thought much about it when he was little, when he had stars in his eyes with the hope that he'd crawl his way out of the slums.
It would've been better if Tommy had never existed in the first place.
Freefall was dead.
He should stop falling back on those habits.

Summary
The Java District is the lowest of the low, the lack of a police force present within the area, with near to none medical services situated anywhere and most of all, the absence of hero patrol in the district speaks volumes on how terrible living there must be.
After all, the constant influx of villains and criminals don’t just target the Prime and Antarctic Districts.
Now we watch Tomathy Innit, 16 and an escapist from an ability asylum, a store owner, a bartender, a vigilante and an information broker. He was thrusted into a world of survival. Those who end up in the Java District, stay there. There is no hope for you to rise to the upper districts. Well, not unless a certain vigilante had to say about it.
After all, Cheshire is only reserved for patrol within the Javian Streets of the velvet night. And if anyone is going to bring the district into prosperity, it may as well be him.
ೃ⁀➷ Discontinued, although the book is still readable as it ends on a completed first arc.
