It has been 3 years since Ateez has officially started dating, which means all 8. Sure they had a few disagreements but they couldn’t stay mad for too long, how could they? However, one of their main problems was favoritism. With Jongho’s past of self harm and anxiety, everyone knew to not neglect him, but it seems they forgot.
It all started during their Outlaw comeback. Stress takes over and everyone sticks to the person they felt most comfortable with, Seonghwa and Hongjoong; Wooyoung, Yeosang, and San; Yunho with Mingi. It felt mostly right, Matz and the 99z, but where did the maknae fit? Sure he wasn’t the most sociable but he liked being included, even if he wasn’t necessarily touching them.
You get used to it, until you don’t.

Things are usually disappointingly uneventful at the bagel shop that Irene worked at. There was the occasional guy—sometimes girl— who would come by to try and get Irene's number or at least make her smile other than her customer service one. Some girls were close since Irene was a definite lowkey gay. Yeri and Taeyeon, their boss, started a checklist of sorts to keep track of how many people hit on her and how many were new or reoccuring. Yeri was certain that Irene would end up living alone in her one-bedroom apartment until she somehow turned into one of those crazy cat ladies even with her fear of animals. Somehow. Some way she'll end up getting one.
Yeri didn't think there would ever be a customer that would be able to make Irene's customer service facade break, but here they were. Yeri's 'Savior' as she calls her, came in the form of short-haired brunette with a stuttering problem when it came to making eye contact with Irene.
