Summary
Mabel is having the worst week of her life after breaking up with her now ex-boyfriend, something that leaves her to ugly cry in the upper floor bathroom of the shack at an ungodly hour.
Bill—who has been living with them for a year now—tries to comfort her after "accidentally" stumbling into her.
It goes... Surprisingly well for a guy that doesn't understand the difference between sadness and anger.

Summary
In an attempt to track down a powerful, reality-bending artifact, Ford decides the only option he has to stop something he believes will be the end of the world is to take his brother and Bill Cipher, his worst enemy and devoted husband, (who's trapped on a human body + on temporary parole) on a research expedition across the country.
Bill’s knowledge of interdimensional anomalies makes him an unwilling participant in Ford’s quest, who's laser focused on retrieving the object and keeping it safe, while Stan is just trying to keep them both alive.
Follow the trio on their unconventional road trip, where Ford lacks any type of self reflection, Stan discovers a few hard truths about himself, and Bill struggles with the unfamiliar fear that comes with being human and mortal.
Or, the fic where they pack up and go across the country because Ford couldn't explain what his machines were registering and he's not gonna let that slide.

Summary
“Ford. Ford I know you're awake. Stanford, c'mon.”
Groaning, he turned around in his bed, looking up to avoid eye contact with the man that was currently ruining what little sleep he was capable of getting since he got out of survival mode. He sighed deeply to make his annoyance as evident as possible to his brother.
“What is it this time, Stanley?”
“I have something to say.”
Or the fanfic where the twins have a chat in the middle of the night about how guilty Stan feels for dating Ford's supposed crush in high school. Chaos ensues when Ford has to explain without words how little he cared about that.

Summary
Rolling his eyes, Bill huffed before talking again. He was certainly taking his time. It was making him anxious.
“I mean, sixer, I'm moving on, just like you wanted me to.”
“What?”
————
Sometimes people need a little push to realize their feelings, and if that lets Mabel play matchmaker for the day, she's in.

Summary
"More or less. More frills than you're imagining. And he ain't all he's cracked up to be. Still. God. So until you're up against judgment, I don't wanna hear your sass.”
Was that how he was justifying it to himself? “Mhm. But you weren't defeated by God.”
Bill gave him a sharp side eye. “I sure wouldn't be here if it weren't for him.”
“Where would you be?” Ford crossed his arms on the countertop and leaned in.
“Eh. Who's to say.” Bill scratched at the edge of his scar. He kept his tone casual, but he was avoiding eye contact.
"I think you'd be dead, Bill.”
"That's your opinion.”
“I think you'd be dead, because my family killed you.”
OR: Ford gets a call from the Theraprism. With his family's hesitant support, he attends (and wins) visitation.

Summary
“I’m a being of pure power,” Bill points out.
“Were,” says Ford.
Bill flicks his wrist and sends the molecular structure of Ford’s pencil out of whack. It goes all limp and pathetic between his fingers.
“Are,” he insists. “Take me for a test drive, IQ.”
