Instead of the Winnebago, Buffy agrees to the Porsche, but it turns out the road trip is just the start of the adventure. Confronted with living in close quarters and having to adjust to a different dynamic, Buffy finds herself coming to terms with the changes Spike is attempting to make in himself. Meanwhile, Spike is struggling with those changes, but knows he can't stop loving her. All the while, there's still a Hell God out there, and they'd both die to protect Dawn.
Both Buffy and Spike know this won't end well, they just have no idea what that will look like.

Summary

In a desperate measure to save her, she is sent into the past. Only she doesn't go back entirely alone. Faced with becoming a ghost in her own past can Buffy figure out how to live again? And what's with that echo that traveled with her?
Starts out dark but doesn't stay that way.

Summary
Buffy’s finally on the verge of ending things with Spike. Then she finds out he’s dead.
Starts from an alternate version of s06e15 “As You Were”. Buffy thinks some of Riley’s military boys killed Spike. Her reaction surprises everyone, most of all herself.
Turns out Spike’s as alive as ever, but when he gets back, it’s Buffy who isn't quite the same.
