Summary
Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring have spent the past five years as little more than acquaintances, with their only contact being the occasional holiday message, birthday wish, or half-hearted reply in the Paris Squad group chat following their break-up during the summer after Nick finished Year 13. Despite the time and distance, a chance encounter brings them closer, and a certain scrapbook and shoebox begin to mean more than they reasonably should. Will they be able to work through their problems together, or will old wounds resurface and threaten any progress they make? After all, loving each other has never been difficult for them. But figuring out how to fix what was broken might be.

Summary
Charlie has finally landed the lead role of his dreams. Unfortunately, he’s been cast opposite the straightest person I’ve ever seen. For fuck’s sake, the man doesn’t even know how to kiss.

Summary
The text came six weeks after their breakup.
Six weeks of not talking to his favourite person. Six weeks that took Charlie through drowning in pain to an all-consuming numbness.
🍂
Charlie would like to imagine he at least hesitated, but the truth was, he barely had time to quietly gasp before tapping the notification.
It was a photo. A cramped student's room, piled with boxes labelled in Nick's scrawl. The bed was still bare, as if Nick has snapped this picture the moment he walked through the door and dropped his belongings on the floor.
Beneath, Nick had texted,
"There. 380 km away. That enough space?"
———————
Or, to use the wonderful Megelator's bookmark as the pitch:
"This fic starts at the breakup in the film, and imagines an alternate situation where Charlie doesn't reach out and they're still broken up when Nick goes to Leeds.
Beautifully written angst, with a happy ending and twists I did not see coming! For me personally, it gives both a more realistic scenario post break up and a more satisfying conclusion!"
———————
Complete in 12 chapters (11 + an epilogue). Chapters 13-24 are the same story from Nick's POV.

Summary
Nick Nelson is the captain of the hockey team and appears to have it all but living in France with his father has put him under serious pressure to keep up appearances and hide who he really is.
Charlie Spring is a solo figure skating prodigy with big dreams. Moving to France to work with his dream coach is not at all what he expected, finding himself quite lonely and missing his friends back home.
Everything changes for both boys when Nick is suspended from the hockey team and in a rather unusual punishment from his coach, must take on figure skating training. This sets him on a collision with Charlie that will change both of their lives forever

Summary
Charlie has no reason to turn back the clock a decade. But when an email from a charity shop worker leads him to a letter he never got as a teen, he can't help but rekindle a connection with the estranged ex who sent it. Did Nick evolve how Charlie believed he would, or will Charlie discover a more uncomfortable truth?
Charlie could hang up. He could sort his thoughts better in writing, get them as close to perfect as possible before Nick ever has to be aware of them.
But Nick wouldn’t keep the line open if Charlie had spoiled everything.
“I’m sorry," Charlie offers. "I just don’t know what you want me to say.”
Nick sighs. “That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you. Say whatever you want. Just be honest.”
“I am being honest.”
“No, you’re dancing around it," Nick says. "Things won’t get better if you’re afraid to say the wrong thing. It’s been almost ten years since we talked. We both need to accept that saying the wrong thing is unavoidable.”
A counter comes to the tip of Charlie’s tongue, but Nick doesn’t give him time to voice it. He says, "I'm not asking you to be perfect, okay?"
And Charlie has to sit with it.
