Summary
The general reached up to his head and plucked out a hair, setting it in Izuku’s palm. “Take it,” he instructed.
“I don’t understand,” Izuku said, shaking his head.
“I’ll explain later,” the general said, coughing up a small pool of blood into his sleeve. “But I am too weak to defeat this monster. I need you to take up my power and vanquish it for me.”
“Use your power?” Izuku asked, staring at the hair. How was he supposed to get power from this?
“The Beast defends our world from the Nameless who do not belong on this plane,” General All Might said. “But my power has been waning, and I need a successor. You are as good as any knight. Take it, now.”
The Beast is a terrible monster who prowls the Liminal Forest on the borders of Yuuei. If you're not careful, the Beast will eat your children and steal your soul.
That was what Izuku thought, until the night All Might gave him his power and Izuku became the Beast. Now he has to figure out how to use magic and protect the kingdom from an ancient villain?
Oh yeah, and he has to escape the suspicious eye of his erstwhile childhood friend who has now made it his personal mission to kill the Beast.

“I’m leaving.” Merlin says, because this situation already cost him his Duolingo streak, and he’s too tired to deal with Arthur when the food Gaius is serving him looks like it belongs on a list of war crimes committed by the Canadian soldiers.
“Where to?” His mentor asks, and Merlin shrugs, before going to his room and packing his bag.
“India. Gaius, I have decided I don’t give a damn, especially not when having to eat that bland food. I’ll be back in three months, make sure Arthur doesn’t die when I’m out.”
“Merlin!” And maybe, if he was younger and didn’t travel back to the past last month, he would’ve actually cared about the ‘eyebrow of disapproval’.
Or, a 1500yo Merlin gets zapped to the past during his vacation to Cuba. You’d think he’s happy to see Arthur again. He’s not.

"I don't think you understand," Merlin said as he started walking backwards, brows wrinkled in confusion. "I can rip your throat out with my teeth and drink your blood. Does that not bother you?" He asked. Arthur finally glanced up from the papers in his hand to look at him, pausing his steps altogether. Merlin waited.
"...Merlin, you fell over trying to put boots on." He said. Merlin grimaced, looking down at his feet.
"I hadn't realized you were supposed to wear them all the time." He muttered, uncertain what this had to do with the fact he could murder everyone within a ten mile radius. Arthur sighed. "And those are bold words from someone who can't dress himself!" He added indignantly. Another sigh. Humans did that a lot as it turned out.
"Merlin, that's your job."
"And I've taught you several times. It isn't that hard."
"No, I - " Arthur started and closed his eyes. "I don't have time for this."

After living with demons for sixteen years, Merlin decides to explore his human side by venturing to Camelot. Also, he has a destiny to unite his species and bring magic back into Camelot, but he's not too worried about that.
