Summary
At Stull Maximum Security Prison, Castiel Novak was the monster under the bed that frightened all the other inmates, and lucky Dean, he got Castiel as a cellmate. But despite the rumors and admittedly murderous temper, Cas wasn’t such a bad guy, even if he was likely a sociopath. He was odd and funny and kind of sweet, at least when they were alone.
But Dean’s time in Stull was cut short, and somehow, he had to learn how to live a normal life, but he wasn’t sure he knew how anymore — especially without Cas.

Summary
Mary knows logically that demons and angels are the polar opposites of each other, but she still finds herself startled that lights don’t flicker every time Castiel enters a room. She looks up, her eyes blurry from straining to read her husband’s writing in the dim light of a lamp. The angel stands silently, tilting his head, and she feels guilty for telling Dean angels watched over him. The pressure of those eyes are not for a child to bear.
