Preface 4 years later: I WROTE THIS WHEN I WAS ANGSTY, 14, AND NEW TO WRITING. This fic is something only it's mother could love, and is a cringy, chaotic mess but it is *my* mess. I can deffo see how much my writing (and I) have grown. I think it goes unsaid this is never being finished, but I'll leave it up. Lowkey invested in where I was going with this so 💔

There was a storm brewing.
Dark clouds had cloaked the sky, rolling in like soldiers marching into battle. The rumbling of thunder could be mistaken for the stomping of their march, the rain pelting against the window the firing of their bullets.
Tommy had always enjoyed literature.
Tommy had always enjoyed weaving pathetic fallacy into stories he scratched out on creased paper.
He was glad that now, when those stories came to life, they kept that factor with them.
And perhaps he was even more glad that this time, it would be working on his side.
A bolt of lightning tore the world in two, shattering the sky.
Tommy grinned.
