Magnus kept speaking but Alec tuned out.
How. How was the first person he’d ever had sex with his new boss?
He continued his pattern, looking at the five objects until he finally felt like he had a better hold on himself.
Until he looked up just in time to see Magnus’s eyes fall on him.Whatever welcome speech he was giving stopped for a moment, recognition flaring in his eyes as he made eye contact with Alec.
Then he moved on, continuing with the first day speech and Alec felt like his heart might beat out of his chest. Could other people hear it? -

“So, are you thinking about pledging?” Magnus asked once Alec sat down and Alec laughed.
“God no. I’m only here because my brother wants to pledge, and he wanted me to come with him to this thing. I normally never go to stuff like this and would never willingly interact with frat guys.” He answered before thinking why Magnus might be asking and Magnus paused a moment.
“Well. I’m the vice president of Alpha Zeta Nu so if you ever consider wanting to be around us frat guys, let me know.”

Instead he had walked all the way to the loft to stumble in at two in the morning and had left Magnus with no choice but to use magic to heal him when Magnus clearly needed more time to recharge after the extensive amount of magic he’d used that day. And then Magnus had still gone out of his way today to make sure Alec had time to rest and something to eat.
He owed Magnus an apology for worrying him so much.“How are you feeling?” Magnus’s voice was getting closer.
“Still sore but a lot better.”
“You really worried me last night. You put yourself in danger and-“ Magnus’s voice halted as he walked into the living room and caught sight of Alec. His eyes left Alec’s face right away, instead his eyes moving much lower to appreciate the amount of leg the robe exposed, then up to where the robe was open to show off his chest.Without a word, Magnus made a motion with his hand for Alec to turn around.
Remembering what he was wearing, Alec turned around slowly and he heard a hum of approval from Magnus.OR

Magnus tasted like everything Alec had missed and he couldn’t get enough of it, kissing him with an almost urgency.
His hand trailed down Alec’s hip to grab his thigh, forcing Alec to press more of his weight against the door as Magnus lifted it, using it as leverage to press himself closer.
“Missed you.” Alec panted when they finally paused for breath.
“Missed you too.” Magnus said before he was kissing him again.Magnus’s hand was still underneath Alec’s raised thigh and he was still kissing him senseless when the sound of someone clearing their throat made them break apart, though Magnus hadn’t set his leg down.
“Sorry to interrupt, but you should know that there are about three people about thirty seconds behind me.” Underhill said and Magnus finally dropped Alec’s leg. “Just thought I’d warn you.”That was embarrassing. Alec mentally chastised himself. They had made it all the way to his bedroom and hadn’t even gone in.

“When’s the last time you ate?”
“I had a croissant this morning,” Alec says absently.
“And before that?”
He’s too busy to eat, he thinks with a frown. He’s never hungry in the mornings and by the time he gets to the Institute, he’s too busy to take a break. Most nights, he’s so damned tired that he takes a few mechanic bites of food before going to bed, just to wake up the next morning and do it all over again.
Or, Alec's always had a complicated relationship with food.
