Summary
Jayce is a scientist who just wants to make the world a better place, and it seems like his chance has finally arrived when he's enlisted by the Council to interrogate the dangerous Zaunite prisoner Viktor, who has allegedly built a deadly weapon but refuses to talk.
Jayce is determined to gain the man's trust, using manipulation tactics learned from Caitlyn and Sheriff Marcus; willing to do whatever it takes to uncover the information and save Piltover from such a horrible criminal.
But the more Jayce begins to actually get to know Viktor, the more he starts to realize that maybe he's been on the wrong side of justice the entire time...

Pre season 1 AU. It happens by chance. Self-destructive student extraordinaire Jayce Talis meets the underpaid Dean's assistant, Viktor - and he's immediately captivated. Jayce finds his eyes hypnotizing; his voice, irresistible. He quickly becomes fascinated with the man and his gentle working hands.
They are both in dire need of an outlet for stress. Viktor has something of a reputation among the student body as a merciless sadistic fiend; but thankfully, Jayce seems to find relief in pain.
Not everything proceeds as imagined. Hextech may or may not survive in one piece.

Summary
Viktor "A," the mage who transcended mortality, reached over and over through the expanse of the Arcane to find an end to the eternal cycle he and Jayce are bound to. The journey finally over, he watches as his own Jayce is freed from the suffering they've endured for far, far too long, and quietly awaits his turn.
It does not come. Clearly there is work still to do.
Lost and now without purpose for the first time in eons, Viktor turns his energy toward the first act of atonement that comes to mind: rescuing Jayce "C," a variant whose unique circumstances have left him trapped in his dead-end timeline for over a decade. Perhaps if he can find somewhere safe for this Jayce to exist, he will finally earn his own story's end.
If only it were that easy. Viktor A has made a terribly human miscalculation- he failed to consider that he and Jayce C may have different expectations when it comes to their 'temporary' arrangement.

Viktor was about to place a booklet back when something fell from it, clinking dully on the dirt floor. It was too dark in the room to see what it was, so he reached blindly to the floor from the box he sat on. When his fingers grazed the cold metal, everything became silent, he felt his limbs go cold. Braving the sensation, he retrieved the item, holding it up to the candlelight. It was crude, smoothed out in some spots from when he used to carry it with him everywhere. It was a rough attempt at a cog, but the creative intention was its purpose. Catching in the light, he could still make out their names stamped into the hard material. It brought a long-lost warmth to his face and chest, a swell of want, but that was quickly replaced by a deep and great sadness. A sense of hopelessness washed over Viktor.
A Viktor and Jayce love story but make it Jane Austen's Persuasion!!

“So... you’re a transfer student?” Jayce ventures, trying to fill the silence.
Viktor shakes his head. “Exchange student. From The Czech Republic. I was in a dorm, but the elevator is broken more than it works. Housing made arrangements.” He sets his suitcase down and adjusts his cane, his movements precise but clearly strained.
“Right,” Jayce says, feeling a flicker of guilt for his earlier irritation. “Well, uh, welcome, I guess. Your room’s down the hall on the left.”
Viktor doesn’t respond, already moving toward the hallway without waiting for further instructions. Jayce watches him disappear into the room, the door clicking shut behind him.
He flops back onto the couch, grabbing his phone to text Caitlyn again:
Jayce: He hates me already.
Caitlyn: Don’t so be dramatic. Give it time. Maybe bake him cookies or something.
Jayce: He doesn’t seem like a cookie guy. More like... brooding and vaguely annoyed at my existence.
Caitlyn: Perfect. You’re great at brooding and vaguely annoying. 😘

Summary

Besides, a weak yellow glow, like spread daffodils and butter was creeping up the blank canvas of cloud outside of the lab windows. Piltover had such a soft beauty compared to the Undercity.

“I know, I’m working on it,” he says. “I just want him to be comfortable. There’s been a lot of bad shit in our past. If I can show him that things can change here, I will.”Cait looks at him fondly. “That’s a very noble goal, Jayce.”
Jayce really, really wishes he could agree that any of his Viktor-related goals are noble. From where he sits, they’re all varying degrees of selfish, licentious, unrealistic, and horny.
