The air swallows the light, and around him is cobbled stone. He is in the tower again, and he feels the fear he did not allow himself to experience those dreadful months ago.

“Am I the snake?” Harry asks.
“Yes. You are.” Thomas admits. “Yet, I know you are poisonous, and your venom runs deep. That much I understand. What I don’t know Harry, is when you will strike. It is not a matter of if, but when. What if you remember who you are?”
He sometimes asks this, as if he knows it is foolish to be carried away like this. Why would he allow such a thing?
“I will not,” Harry reassures, just like a snake who waits to strike.

Thomas supposes that he has misread Henry’s intentions. His Majesty after all, did not respond well to the kiss.
It wasn’t the dismal of his position that solidified Thomas’s initial fear, it was the fury in Henry’s eyes that let him know those emotions, were indeed, misplaced.
Yet if that is true, why has the king come to him weeks after the fact?
Perhaps it is a fever dream or an inward desire, but Thomas swears it is his majesty that stands at the end of the corridor.

Summary
Years ago Ratchet and Drift became Conjunx Endura and for some time, they had a happy life. Yet, when emotions from the past came to sway Drift, it was easier to patch up lost relationships then continue in his current one. So ending things “respectfully” with Ratchet, Drift and Rodimus decided to carry on what they broke off on the Lost Light.
Months after that decision, Ratchet dies of spark burnout.
Years pass and though Rodimus and Drift have sparklings between them, their relationship is not nearly what the two thought it would be. Drift’s life is a dark tunnel with no light or end in sight.
Yet, that all changes when during a medical emergency regarding Rodimus, the doctor who takes up the case looks a lot like Drift's old deceased Conjunx.

Summary
Being a miner, a former slave, and a working frame type, it's no surprise that D-16 isn't treated kindly in medical school. Despite making the highest marks, and being the most dedicated student, his dream of becoming a medic is often met with harsh discrimination.
Not keen on standing up for himself, he is used to letting the other students speak poorly to him, if only it means he can get through his day without any conflict.
That all changes, however, when a feisty, loud-mouthed Seeker enrolls at the university, and quickly comes to D-16's defense.

The past few hours had been a blur to Rodimus. One moment he stood upon a ledge, ready to end whatever mistake he had once considered a ‘life’. The next moment he woke in a cave only feet away from a terrified, skinny-looking strange bot.
One that calls himself Starscream.
But that’s not right…that can’t be right. This gray, skinny little piece of metal has nothing in common with Starscream, at least not at first glance.
If there is one thing they have in common, it’s attempting to kill Rodimus.

After a failed attempt at taking his own life, Rodimus ends up waking in a different universe. Not so different from his own. In turn, Lost Light Rodimus, finds himself face to face with TFP Starscream, who is not happy to see him.
At least not yet.
Oh and yes, Ratchet is as mean as ever.

“So you see, it was for the best that stupid arrangement fell through. We both get to do what we want, do we not?” Starscream asked, his intake curled into that all too familiar grin.
A grin Rodimus had grown to love so much.
“Yeah, yeah… I guess.” Rodimus responded, clear he didn’t believe it himself.

Years ago, Rodimus was called back to Cybertron to fulfill an ancient duty. That was, to continue the lineage of the Primes by way of binding himself to the Chancellor, Starscream. While the arrangement was not ideal, Starscream attempted to commit to it, Rodimus on the other hand, could never dream of binding himself to Starscream. Luckily for him, with intervention from Optimus, Rodimus was freed of his duties.
All seems to go well, his life is better but he still thinks of Starscream from time to time as things weren’t that bad between them.
Yet, when he sees Starscream again and the two decide to catch up, Rodimus cannot help the feeling of what could have been, but won’t ever be.

It is not out of the ordinary for Starscream to serve as Megatron’s muse for his literature. Yet, in the silence of the night, there is a beauty about Starscream that is ethereal, one that captures him more uniquely. Megatron has an idea for making Starscream the protagonist in his next novel, yet Starscream has some critiques regarding his pure portrayal.
Eventually, they come to a conclusion that honors both their desires.

Summary
The last thing Rodimus ever expected was to befriend Starscream. Falling in love with him was a shocking yet lovely bonus. Though, ‘love’ was too weak of a word. He never expected the Seeker to be his Conjunx, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Yet, while things are blissful between the two, there are also hardships.
Regardless, Rodimus could not have asked for a better Conjunx or sparkling, no matter the difficulties that came with building their family.

On an important day of their sparkling’s life, Rodimus reflects on his relationship with Starscream up until this point. Regardless of the struggles and difficulties faced to build their life, he will never stop thanking Primus for having Starscream as his conjunx.

Summary
Following the aftermath of being mind-controlled by Mandroid and nearly killing Twitch, Megatron grows distant. While life continues around him, he falls into his own despair and eventually, he is consumed by guilt. A year later, Starscream grapples with the emotions that follow after Megatron’s loss. Despite their past, they both committed to healing together and to work toward a more organic, healthier relationship. None of that is possible now that Megatron is gone, and Starscream is left with a plethora of emotions.
In an odd turn of events, he finds comfort in a neutral mech that emerges from deep space not too long after Megatron’s death, a mech that bears a similar aura to that of Megatron. All that matters to Starscream is that he can share the emotions of Megatron's loss with someone else.

Gaining their new frames and designs were not the only change they faced in their new life together. While Drift fears returning to the Lost Light due to his conflicting feelings, Ratchet is there to help him and let him know that regardless, this is a new life they’ll live together.
