Summary
“We’re doing Etho’s birthday!” Gem realized, bouncing up and down in excitement. “How’re we gonna make it special this time?”
Grian reached out, accessing his inventory with an easy twitch of his fingers to pull out the party popper Scar had given him earlier. Holding it aloft like some sort of mighty staff, he cried, “With these of course!” Then, with a smooth motion, he brought the popper around to point at Gem and triggered it with an impressively loud BANG!
Gem froze in the face of the resulting confetti storm, transfixed by the whirling paper particles and flying streamers. Slowly, a wide smile split her face, “I’m in!”

Summary
"Gem and Grian decided to throw me a surprise birthday party. Again.” He plucked a scrap of confetti out of his hair and sighed fondly.
Bdubs burst out laughing, “THEY THREW- AGAIN!? What’s this now, tenth time?”
Etho laughed along with him, “It- it’s not a bad thing, I appreciate the thought they put into it, even though it’s a little embarrassing when they’re wrong about my birthday yet again. It’s nice that they care.”
Etho blinked, seeming to consider something, “I suppose I should tell someone eventually.”
Or:
On his way home from a not-quite-birthday party, Etho tells Bdubs something interesting that really shouldn't have been a surprise.

So good, extremely heartfelt and beautiful. Nearly made me cry, but in a good sort of way

Summary
Etho does something marginally stupid and finds himself changed.
The universe only unravels from there. But one way or another, it will find a way to put itself back together.
Or: Actions, reactions, and the associated consequences regarding a series of unexpected, and highly coincidental interconnect events...
It's almost as though this wasn't pure coincidence.
(I recommend reading this series in order, as the fics build off each other and are all interconnected)
Also, we have a discord!Edit, November 2024:
The early part of this series was written and posted before the evidence against Iskall came to light. I want to make it very clear that I do not support him and his actions, and send my love to the victims. Future additions to this series will not include him as a character.- Words:

Summary
It’s strange. Only now, confronted with the very thing he came down here to find, is reality enforcing itself upon Bdubs.
This is impossible. Maybe the blackbox of Etho’s AI could be retrieved, but at a depth of 36,000 feet his netherite-fibered body would have lasted six seconds at most before his lovely face pulverized. Whatever’s left might as well be a husk of radiation. He is not outside the submersible. No one is.
And still. A knock on the door. One-two-three. Polite and patient.
(At the bottom of the ocean, Bdubs studies microbes with the help of the CONCORP android Etho. They are not alone.)

Bookmarker's Notes
This. This is truly an incredible piece of writing, would (have) read again and again (did add a lil' warning though, still not ok. Worth it)
