Summary
Card games somehow wound up being one of the few activities the four of them were evenly matched in. So when Team Sonic is feeling a bit splintered and distant in the weeks after the events in Station Square, Tails comes to the conclusion that there's no better way to bring them together than with a card game of his own making. Simple enough, right?
Except nothing is ever as simple as it seems, and complicated feelings are actually kinda complicated things to talk about. But if you can't get through the tough times with your friends, then who else can you turn to?
Inspired by Sonic Shuffle, focused on the friendship between Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles.

Summary
It's Tails's first Christmas in Station Square and he's been whisked into a whirlwind of winter festivities at the hands of Amy Rose. She's determined to share everything the city has to offer with him in order to make this Christmas Eve special—especially since Sonic isn't with them to celebrate. But Tails doesn't mind. It’s only one day out of the year, and it's not like the two of them ever really make a big fuss about it. Sonic and Tails will be fine if they don't spend this Christmas together. No big deal.
However, as the night goes on, Tails begins to have his doubts as making new Christmas memories starts to stir up some old ones.

When in the position to do Tails a small favor, Shadow finds himself immediately regretting it when Sonic shows up and goads him into what should have been a simple game of chess. But things are never simple when Sonic the Hedgehog is involved. Shadow should really know better at this point than to ever involve himself in the shenanigans of Sonic and Tails; they know all too well how exactly to get under his skin.

Summary
Even though it was quiet and there were no eyes of judgement bearing down on him, his chest still tightened. Like a constrictive band was trying to squeeze all the air from his lungs. Tails tried breathing deeply, to fill his chest with each calculated, carefully timed breath, but the pressure remained. He pressed his forehead into his knees and drew himself into a small ball for comfort, curling up as tight as a hedgehog.
"I'm counting on you, Tails."
What a mistake that had been.
On the shuttle home from the Space Colony ARK, Tails reflects on what went wrong and what could've gone worse. Apparently he still had a long way to go before he could consider himself a hero.

He'd never heard of a sickness coming on so quickly, not even for Sonic, but his breaths were too shallow and there was a clammy, tingly feeling under his fur despite the chill that had encased his bones. Once he settled at his computer, Tails pried his fingers away from his neck, forcing them to type his symptoms into his search engine. This wasn't normal. Not for him, anyway.
Had he been poisoned somehow? Something slipped in his tea? He shouldn't have thrown the cup away. He'd need to retrieve it, get a sample from it, run an analysis. Tails coughed again, but this time his breathing hitched; wheezy gasps trying to fill his lungs with air as a too-tight feeling constricted his chest.
