Summary
So... a warning: This is something being written with little-to-no preplanning, and a lot comes stream of consciousness. So tags and things are could change and it is hard to tag for the future.
At the moment, the characters I have planned are all original. This is nebulously set within the same version of the universe as Campaign. If and when that becomes apparent, I cannot say.
Three years after the rise of the Galactic Empire many systems across the galaxy find themself facing new challenges as the tendrils of the new regime scavenge for resources. A young Kifala Raystrider, a recent conscript from the planet Askeru, who is making plans to leave her footprint in the Empire.
Not great at phonetics, but Askeru is pronounced Az-kehr-oo. It's demonym uses a short u instead.
In theory I'll get better as time goes on.

It was because he was imagining what those teeth could do. He was imagining Benrey's teeth sinking easily into his neck, his shoulder, his stomach. Imagining the slight danger of Benrey's teeth as they wrap their mouth around his dick. Gordon swallowed and then choked on his own spit, coughing into his fist and face beet red.
"Yo, bro, you, uh, you good?" Benrey asked, head tilting not unlike a puppy—which sent more unhelpful thoughts into his traitorous brain, thank you—and Gordon can only give them a thumbs up as he caught his breath, arousal crawling up his spine.
God! What the fuck is wrong with him! He literally never thought about Benrey's teeth like that before, what the hell? He had to admit, however, that it's really hot. And that he… may… want Benrey to bite him. Maybe. Definitely.
Gordon really likes Benrey's teeth, all the sudden. Like, to the point where he's envisioning them biting him. Oh, oh god, he really wants Benrey to bite him.

He's stolen company property, ignored his family, and neglected himself in hopes of success. Now that he's made progress, it's becoming increasingly apparent that one of the AIs in question may not be a program at all. No one can say for certain what this revelation will lead to, but one thing's for sure: HR is going to have a field day with this one.

Summary
After the events of hlvrai come to their conclusion, Gordon discovers a lone portal during the after party. Convinced that the G-Man intends to keep him in some endless cycle of parties, movies and work, Gordon decides he's already been through enough and a mystery portal will either be a much needed escape or he'll get instantly destroyed. Either way, he gets out of the situation. Before he can dive headfirst into possible oblivion, the rest of the science team turn up. With some convincing from Gordon (and the portal's own energy drawing them closer), they agree to all enter the portal together to see what lies ahead. Coomer confides in Gordon just before they leave that 'this portal is no game'. They survive the journey, but soon find it's a little hard to cope with their biggest challenge: living a semi-normal life. Especially when it turns out most of the team are not exactly 100% human.

They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

In 1993, Gilderoy Lockhart points a stolen wand at Harry Potter and Ron Weasley with the intent to Obliviate them. The wand doesn't backfire. Gilderoy's "discovery" of the Chamber of Secrets is a short-term success.
Other consequences are not short-term at all.

I was watching the Chamber of Secrets movie several years back when the scene in question began to play...and immediately I wanted to know what would happen if the wand had done what it was supposed to do. The answer got very complicated, very, *very* quickly.Blame Edgar Allan Poe for the title.
