    Shadow grips the echidna’s wrist when the other hand drifts down, keeping it in place as Dread continues to speak casually, “And both be in me care. Both be mine to appreciate and admire.”

    The echidna changes course to his face, resting his palm on Shadow's cheek. Dread's bare paw pads are calloused as they stroke short, tan fur, thumb lingering to trace along the hedgehog's lips, "At the locations and time of me choosin' till I be satisfied. That /do/ be the agreement, don’t it, me treasure?”
