He enjoys the shadows he's created for himself over the past two years, and doesn't have any intentions of letting them go.
Hermione Granger never came back from the war, not really. Everyone finds out quickly that she's stuck in her head, fighting her trauma, the pain of her scars the war inflicted, and the weight of her status as "Golden Girl." Hermione is a reckless mess in the dark, and afraid of being inspected too closely in the light.
