“What’s yours, anyway? A fish?” she sneers.
“It’s a raven, actually.”
The book she is holding now is heavy enough that when she nearly drops it, she can save face. Still, she catches him out of the corner of her eye, lips tight, hiding a smile. He could be lying, but he has never lied to her before. Ever.

Five had just blinked to his sisters apartment to borrow her peanut butter, and had every intention to blink back to his place and finish his work. But that was derailed when he found her throwing up because her medication's dosage had been increased.
He hated seeing her like this, the dosage increasing was hard on her stomach and this wasn't the first time it had happened. When they were kids she had thrown up on the dinner table, derailing his plan to talk to Dad about time travel that day. Five decided to look into her medication, hoping to find something that wouldn't make her so sick. She had been taking it since they were kids after all, maybe it was time for a second opinion.
But his investigation leads to some horrible revelations.

"I invited Xavier to the dance."
Enid is lying on her bed and at first gives no weight to Wednesday's words because she heard them the same last year.
"Did you hear me?" her friend leans over her and seeks her eyes. "I asked Xavier to the dance."
"And are you also planning to go to the dance with him?" she inquires, pulling herself up onto her elbows and settling her head better on the pillow.
Wednesday smiles, "Don't you think it's a miracle that I want to go to the dance?"
Enid laughs, "Thing threatened you, didn't he?"
"He didn't like how I treated Xavier last year, he hid all my sharpest knives."
"And how did Xavier take it?" Enid makes room for her on the bed, but Wednesday still doesn't dare sit on that awful pink blanket. She has a feeling she might throw up otherwise.
"He asked me if I needed help finding them, he knows I'm very fond of my collection." -

Nevermore, like other schools, had a school curriculum that dictated the topics that the teaching staff had to cover and, like other schools, that curriculum included Sex Education for the students. When the time comes for the school to cover the topic in Wednesday's class, she finds herself becoming uneasy almost immediately.
Despite trying very hard to mask her true feelings about sexual attraction and relationships, Enid makes a comment that burns deep in Wednesday's heart. Having seen this, Xavier helps her to understand what asexuality, a normie term for how she feels about sex, really means for her. And helps her understand that being on two spectrums doesn't mean she can't be loved.
