in other terms: house misdiagnoses. also, he's bad with feelings. naturally, this combination only means he makes things harder for you than is necessary. fully in house's pov, because i love to see emotionally constipated men pining.

Summary
When House is hospitalized after a suspected Vicodin overdose, House is strongly against this absurd idea. He makes Wilson a bet: the hospital’s tests for an overdose will come out negative.
House wins the bet. As it turns out, this is not a victory.
He loses, in more ways than one, when it becomes apparent that whatever hospitalized him will uproot his entire way of life.

You stood in the doorway, taking him in. His cane was leaned against the edge of the desk, a bit worn with use but solid. He didn’t look quite as old as you thought he would, but his presence made him feel ancient- like someone who’d live through three wars, even if he’d never stepped foot on the battle field.
You raised an eyebrow. “Only if it’s for the patient.”
House finally looked up at the sound of your voice and his eyes lingered a split second too long on your right leg as you shifted your weight. He didn’t stare, he scanned.
You met his gaze evenly, already bracing yourself for the first comment.
“Nice gait.” He said as you entered the room “But you’re not hiding it. Titanium?”
You didn’t blink. “Carbon fiber. Lighter. Quieter”
“Smart” He said, like he was evaluating a new car “You keep it visible on purpose or do you just like pretending to be subtle?”
You offered a dry look. “I try to save the dramatics for when someone’s dying.”
He smirked, leaning back further in his chair. “Wrong department for that.”

Viktor knew how he looked. With his sharp angles and hollowed cheeks and colt-like limbs, he was a serpentine god with all his alabaster beauty.
The nobles whispered about it. The investors watched Viktor move, fascination warring with discomfort. The Council scoffed at the idea of a Zaunite on their board—until they saw him.
Exotic. Enthralling. An exquisite thing to be coveted for themselves.
Viktor had once despised it.
Despised the way they stared, the way their fascination was always tinged with something possessive, as if he were a rare specimen on display. Loathed the murmurs in the Academy halls, the furtive glances that dogged him everywhere he went.
Now?
Now, he used it.
If they should lust after him, they did so at their own peril.
Desire was a fundamental human weakness. A distraction. A vulnerability. And if Jayce Talis was to prove useful, then Viktor would use every weakness he had.

Despite his complaints, and with his newfound dependency, Viktor has to learn to accept help when he needs it, especially during his recovery. Fortunately, Jayce is always there to help.

When Silco finds Viktor before Viktor has the chance to meet Singed, and gives him a home and kindness that he needed, he never exactly planed on making such a loyal solider out of the boy. But it seems like the two go hand in hand when it comes to the child he's taken in. A child that became the man who would put everything on the line just to make sure his father makes it out alive.

Happening in the same universe as “Undercity Development Section”. It’s been 5 years since the completion of the Ventilation System construction. The surviving members of the Council struggle to deal with the aftermath of Jinx’s attack while Reader struggles with Viktor’s deteriorating health. Inspired by the HexCore experiments, Reader sets off on a quest to find mages who can help her with healing magic, despite Viktor and Jayce begging her not to. Unfortunately, a mishap during her travels prevented her from returning to Piltover for two years. She returns only to find out Viktor is long gone and Piltover is currently at war with Zaun. With the dismantling of the UDS, the Council expects Reader to team up with Jayce to develop weaponry with HexTech.
