When Mick first found out, he spent one minute thinking they were pulling one over on him, one minute being shocked, one minute getting angry, one minute realizing it was pointless, and about five solid minutes panicking hysterically.
He was too busy having these reactions at the time to really notice, but it occurs to him after he’s finally calmed down that this is perhaps not the customary response to the revelation that you might be the secret heir to the throne and that’s probably why everyone is looking at him so weirdly.

It took approximately three and a half seconds for the implications to hit Nathalie, upon which she promptly choked on her tea.
