The second time it happened, Will thought he was ready for it. He wasn’t, of course, but that was because Hannibal had a way of clawing under his skin.
He knew that Hannibal would want to do it again. He’d implied as much after the first time. But Will had sort of thought he would wait, that Will would have to provoke him.
Not that Will wanted it, or anything. Not that Will had spent the drive into Baltimore wondering exactly what it would take for Hannibal to lose his temper.
