Grant got married to a man named Marco Li and adopted a baby boy they named Lincoln. Nicky had been married to their mutual friend Cassandra Swift for a few years and they had a kid named Taylor, they ended up getting divorced but on good terms. Lark was still attached to Sparrow’s hip but he had a good job at a bar downtown and was helping Rebecca and Sparrow raise their kids. Terry Jr. had married a wonderful woman named Veronica Marlowe and became the step-dad to a kid named Scary,
things were looking up! The five of them were no longer rotting away from memories of those three dreadful years away from society and their families. Nothing was ever simple, but it was better than before and thats what counts.

For the first time, he was glad he’d never said it out loud before. Because if he had admitted it back in the day, when those inexplicable feelings were at an all-time high, he would have said it softly and genuinely, with stars in his eyes. Now he could say it with a blazing fury that burned hotter than the sun. A renouncement. The cruelest euphemism for I hate you.
Lark had the decency to look uncomfortable. He didn’t move his gaze from Nick’s injury. Just when Nick thought Lark wasn’t going to reply, he mumbled: “I know.”

The podcast Dungeons and Daddies, a roleplay podcast that uses the Dungeons & Dragons system to explore themes of fatherhood and generational trauma, includes a complex story arc in which one of the main characters, Glenn Close, is imprisoned and stripped of his title of father. I examine this arc using abolitionist scholarship, arguing that the trappings of the fantasy universe of Faerûn (and the inventions of the players) create a fictional scenario that tellingly represents the extent of carceral power in the “real world.” However, a queer reading of both this arc and Glenn Close’s approach to life and fatherhood reveals the potential of queer defiance to break free of carceral bonds and reimagine life and modes of relation.

"I can see it," she said, and kissed the corner of his mouth. "You're radiant with it. I haven't seen you in new love in years."
Upon their return from the Forgotten Realms, Henry and Darryl each have a lot of things to sort out about their relationships with their wives, themselves - and each other.
