It is up to Kaeya to carry him home. Kaeya welcomes the chance to act like a brother again, but it does not mean he cannot have just a tiny bit of fun with it. It feels like just payment for having to carry such a heavy burden all the way to the Winery.

He’d considered its ability to shapeshift, its intellect and its adaptability. But never did he put them together, and consider that even the Traveller would be unable to tell the difference between them.
Now they were the same in every physical way.
OR
Albedo always knew there was a chance he could be replaced, as was the nature of having a doppelganger. He wasn’t ready for when it actually happened.

Summary
Diluc runs into Kaeya, delirious and severely injured by a rifthound in the woods of Wolvendom. Kaeya is in a pretty bad way and Diluc is unable to help much because of the corrupting nature of the injury. He’s going to have to wait and watch until the corrosion has run its course to tend to Kaeya or else neither of them will be strong enough to survive a night in the forest. But for Kaeya that might be too late.
