Jay hums for a bit then makes a clicking sound with his tongue. "No, baby I'm still working for about three hours."
The line goes silent. Jungwon doesn't say anything and his shaky breath gives all that Jay needs to know away. He's immediately perking up, his voice picking up on worry.
"Is anything wrong? Are you feeling sick? Do I need to send someone after somebody?" Jungwon would've laughed if only he wasn't in the situation he's in.
Or: Jungwon and Jay, married.

Summary
“Sunoo.” Jungwon nudges his screeching roommate in the side, drawing the other’s gaze to him immediately. Leaning in, he whispers the frantic question into Sunoo’s ear. “Who’s the guitarist?”
“Which one?” Sunoo mouths back, eyes widening as he looks between Jungwon and the stage.
Jungwon opens his mouth to reply, but is promptly distracted by the fact that the guitarist is looking at him again. This time, as their eyes connect over the sea of heads, the man does nothing to hide the smirk that crosses his face. It’s Jungwon’s turn to break eye contact now, turning his head to find Sunoo gaping at him. Immediately, the other seizes his sleeve, pulling him in.
“Oh my god,” he hisses into Jungwon’s ear. “Jay’s staring at you.”

Summary
If he was being entirely honest with himself, Jay didn’t have any valid reasons for hating Yang Jungwon. In fact, he had never even met the boy.
He certainly hadn’t expected their very first face to face encounter to be by appointment, especially not an appointment during which Jay’s perfect canvas would be irreversibly tainted.
He hadn’t expected it, but he couldn’t really say he was surprised. Such things were the norm when one’s closest companion was the merciless and conniving bastard Park Sunghoon, who pulled no punches in their war called friendship. The sooner this lesson was learned, the better.

Jungwon shoved at his chest but Jay caught both his wrists effortlessly and pinned them behind Jungwon’ back in one hand.
“You think because I worship you, I won’t discipline you?”
Jungwon had been testing Jay all evening, and Jay had finally had enough of it.

Summary
Jungwon thought he knew everything about Jay with how much time they constantly spent together. Living together, working together, playing together. But with The Event that had started this whole thing less than three days ago, part of Jungwon had become obsessed with this new, hidden side of Jay. It was something he hadn’t seriously thought of before - maybe in the back of his head idly, or during his dreams, evidenced by the uncomfortable sticky feeling in his pants when he woke up some mornings - but not seriously like this. Not something obtainable.
Now Jungwon feared he would never be satisfied with not knowing every little thing about his hyung.

Summary
The anger that always sits under his skin around Jay flares up again, hot enough that some small, ugly part of him wants to just take all of it, drain him dry and be done. But he doesn't. He has his reasons.
"Why the hurry?" It isn't curiosity. It's stalling.
Because this should be nothing. A vampire drinks. That's all this is. Except vampires don't feed like this on just anyone—this kind of feeding means something, whether Jungwon wants it to or not. Maybe that's the real reason he hates Jay so much.
He curls his fingers around Jay's arm anyway, tugs him closer. This means nothing, he tells himself. I feel nothing for him. But if another vampire saw this—saw him feeding from the same human, week after week, arm curled possessively like this—there'd be questions he doesn't have answers for. Not after he's spent so long making sure everyone knows exactly how much he hates humans.
"I have places to be. My life doesn't revolve around you — fortunately." Jay's voice is all edges.

Jungwon’s gaze immediately falls to his lips, so warm, so inviting. Yesterday’s thoughts were flooding back to him: is Jay the best kisser? The kiss last night was barely anything anyway, just a single spark from when their lips touched but was quickly put out.
But now Jay is offering to reignite that flame again, and it’s not like Jungwon could refuse, couldn’t even if he wanted to. His body reacts before his mind could assess, and once again acts first.
If Jay is his flame then Jungwon is the moth.

Hardworking, but would be willing to make time for what mattered. Jungwon was the perfect combination of funny and sweet. Fierce and stubborn but helpful and patient. Playful and supportive and so very loving, a soul full of awe and kindness with a dash of mischief.
Jay was perfect for Jungwon, and Jungwon was the perfect one for Jay.
They were each other’s perfect blend.
