From the "Resolutions" Memory Alpha page: "Kenneth Biller had some involvement in this episode's plot, although he wanted the installment to have more of a high-concept science fiction story than it ultimately did. "I had a hand in 'Resolutions' in the sense that I wanted to do a story about Janeway and Chakotay stranded on a planet," he explained, "but I wanted to do a more sci-fi twist on it where they get stranded and Voyager literally left through a time eddy to get home. When they come back Chakotay and Janeway have aged 40 years and have a whole family. Jeri [Taylor] felt it was too reminiscent of [Star Trek: The Next Generation episode] 'Inner Light'. That was kind of the twist I wanted to do on it." (Cinefantastique, Vol. 28, No. 4/5, p. 106)"

After a long beat, enough time for Trent to finish his second drink, Ted stood. “Hang on, I think we’re gonna need one, two more of those. Maybe three more.”
After Trent's article on Sam Obisanya's protest is rejected, he goes drinking at the Crown & Anchor, where Ted Lasso is ready to commiserate. Takes place during and after 2.03, and contains direct quotes and references.

"Nah, it's got all kindsa nasty germs on it, and I know that you bake 'em out anyway, but this one time in college I got food poisoning from a bad donut and spent about two days straight on the—wait."
Trent waits patiently for Ted to finish realizing, arms folded. Ted feels his face break open wide. "Trent Crimm, are you making a dick joke?"
"...I'm attempting to."
Ted thinks that if there were a little meter for how much he likes Trent, that might've just broken it.

Ed and Jim are both new to this whole “committed relationship” thing, but apparently people in relationships get each other gifts. A difficult task when one has no idea what they’re doing.
People in love – at least, people from Stede’s world who are in love – get each other gifts. This is a newly learned fact for Ed, but it is a fact nonetheless. Mary got Stede gifts. Mary got Stede many gifts. The lighthouse painting still hanging in their shared captains’ quarters, that was a gift from Mary. Stede has half of a petrified orange beside their bed, a gift from his daughter.
Stede owns nothing of Ed’s. Ed has given Stede nothing.
This may, he realizes with dread, have been an oversight.

On a calm afternoon aboard the Revenge, Stede indulges Ed's newfound interest in fashion with another trip to the auxiliary wardrobe.
When the locking mechanism for the secret passage is accidentally compromised, the two of them are trapped inside, waiting on Stede's crew to find them. Of course, this could take anywhere from several hours to several days.
Luckily, Stede's brought tapas, and there's plenty of things one can do to while away the time inside a wardrobe.

It figured that the moment Stede's libido decided to rear its head, he’d be sharing a room.
When Stede finds himself fantasizing about Ed and desperate for relief, he's pleased to discover that Ed is fast asleep, which means Stede can basically go to town as long as he keeps himself reasonably quiet.
Ed is not fast asleep. Ed is not even a little bit asleep at all. Ed is listening to Stede pant and whisper his name, and he's losing his entire fucking mind about it.
