He was about to ask, when the bastard put his hands up toward Draco and wriggled his fingers experimentally in the air as if he were avoiding touching something sharp and pointy. Ha, bloody, ha.

The man slumped against the alley wall looked like he’d barely made it out of a cursed battlefield. His lip was split, bruises already blooming across his cheekbones like ink in water. His knuckles were raw, skin peeled back in angry red gashes, shredded like parchment. And beneath it all, faint traces of lingering magic crackled against his skin, unstable, uncontrolled.
Draco stepped forward before he even realized what he was doing, fingers already reaching for the wand tucked into his healer’s robes. Then the man shifted, blinking up at him, and Draco froze.
Potter.
Of bloody course.
“Malfoy,” Potter croaked, voice rough. “Fancy seeing you here.”

He's expecting to settle right into the place he used to feel most at home, looking forward to seeing Teddy throughout the whole year instead of just on holidays, and most certainly looking forward to seeing who wins the quidditch cup. What he's not expecting, and what no one has bothered to warn him about, is that Draco Malfoy is also back to calling Hogwarts home. While unable to shake his natural state of being suspicious of Malfoy, he slowly starts to see that maybe it's possible for someone to change over the course of a decade. Summary
