Summary
At first, as the initial adrenaline kept ordering his staggering legs to move and the pain to subside, he had truly bolted in a random direction. By the time the twisting branches of the forest began appearing familiar and the path, even if difficult to see in the pouring rain, became more of a suggestion than a set road, he realized exactly where he was heading.
Talon fails a mission. He swallows what’s left of his pride and stumbles his way into Sett’s house, wounded and agonizing.
