Summary
Donnie awoke to a copper taste in his mouth. He tried to sit up but soon realized his wrists were bound.
Squinting in the darkness, he looked around, seeing three other dark figures with him. Assuming his companions were his brothers, based on their shape, he whispered to the one next to him, supposedly Leonardo.
He was caught off guard when a light blinded him. As he got used to the light, he saw a figure in a lab coat, grinning creepily at him.
“Welcome, mutants.”

The bloodbath AU revolves around the idea of Splinter having the reputation of a deadly assassin. When he mutates, Lou Jitsu is only able to save one of the turtles, the rest somehow find their ways to different parental figures. It happens to be a strike of misfortune when there’s figures happen to be the very people who ruined Lou Jitsu’s life in the first place.
Bloodbath follows the story of all four turtles reuniting, bonding and eventually becoming one as a family.[DISCONTINUED]

In truth, Donnie had known it all along. Even in this best-case scenario, only one of them could get out of this place. Mikey and Raph couldn’t sustain the portal, and the added weight of both Leo and Donnie together would have only made the strain worse. Donnie could see the cracks charging further up Mikey’s entire body and knew they didn’t have long. Much like Donnie and Leo, they were tired.
Not to mention that with Raph balancing Mikey’s energy (from the looks of it) and reaching out, there was no one to stop the Kraang from coming out with them.
And, well, Donnie had long given himself that role when he was first left on the platform. When he made this plan with Leo. When he had told him three of the four steps with such confidence that Leo didn’t know otherwise.
So, he’d known. He knew all along that it had to be Leo to get out. The better twin.
The baby twin.

"Between you and me, I think it'd be a good exercise for Donnie anyways. He doesn't train with us enough. It'd be a good opportunity to make him practice his ninja skills."
"Hey!" Donnie objects, annoyed, before he remembers Leo is- regrettably- on his side. "I mean- yes, exactly! Plus may I remind you- since you both seem to forget- this could be a matter of national importance!"

Through routine surveillance on the Purple Dragons, Donnie discovers a technological conspiracy that could have devastating consequences for the entire nation.Unable to sit idly by with tech that dangerous unaccounted for, he convinces Leo to accompany him on a mission to recover it.
The only issue? It's all the way in Chicago.

Something is… Wrong… with Donnie.
Leo isn’t sure what, exactly.
He knows how to help his twin when he can’t get the words out, struggling with his tongue and his mind and frustrated and body over sensitized, everyone knows (Mikey is the best about it though).
But.
This doesn’t feel like that.
Something is wrong.
Or
After Leo has been pulled from the dark space of the prison dimension, after the battle, the War-That-Almost-Was, our favorite turtle brothers just want to go home. It seems however that current aches and pains are not the only thing they need to worry about, and it all starts when one purple-clad ninja brother fails to keep up.
