Summary
Stingstripe is very rude, standoffish and sarcastic. She believes that if she avoids getting close to anyone, and never allows herself to care about anything, that she'll get through life more easily. She's very smart, and glided through school very easily, with little to no effort. When chosen as a Guardian of Clearsight, and confronted with the life-altering revelation of Clearsight's imprisonment, a choice must be made. Sometimes you have to let yourself care. Sometimes you have to let yourself try.

(He's grateful for that, anyway.)"All right," Sam inhales, turning his laptop around so that the screen is facing Kevin, displaying a particularly nasty shot of some crime scene, not far from where they are. "You want to tell me what you think about this?"
"Ew." Kevin leans close, the usual flutter of disgust barely noticable anymore. Or maybe it's just always there, now. "Are those arrows?"
The photograph does indeed reveal arrows, bright bolts of gold struck cruelly into the heart of a young woman, pinning her to the blood-darkened trunk of a tree.

After watching Dean die on that spike, Sam was thrown back into the past to Mystery Spot. The same plastered early 2000s themed walls. The same Wednesday morning that tied Sam to his brother more than ever before. The same damn song playing on the radio like nothing had changed, yet a new hell awaits.
He’s convinced Gabriel’s behind it, but the trickster swears it wasn't his doing. So who sent him? And how was Sam supposed to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders again, knowing exactly how much it cost the first time?
