Basically I started thinking about how much healing Jinx may/may not have done post-finale and decided to smoosh her together with a version of Lux that... needs a bit of healing.
We love two unhinged women with compatible trauma.

It happens simply, at some point in your life, any time, from your childhood to your adult life, your soul will connect with another.
There is no set pattern, it is random but at some point you will feel another person's emotions, some bonds are more intense than others but in the end they are all soulmates. Regardless of whether one bond is felt more than another or not, everyone's soulmate will always be the most important person in their lives. Losing a soulmate is torturous, a void that can never be filled by anything or anyone. Many give up after losing their other half and some others persist in pain, but they persist.
Some stronger bonds can feel each other's physical pain and even know their thoughts but everyone feels emotions and can determine the direction their soulmate is headed.
And of course, there is a rare case of having more than one soulmate. In these cases you can do everything that someone with just one soulmate can do, but you will know how to differentiate which half of you each emotion comes from or which side each one is on.
And Seraphine, Jinx and Lux are that rare case of more than one soulmate.

Jinx was a troublemaker, she could never stay quiet and she loved to hang out with the other misfits at school. Everyone had an idea of who Jinx was, they all liked to pretend they knew her, from Vi to Ekko they all had a different idea of who Jinx was inside of their heads. She grew used to it, people never really tried to look beyond what little they knew of her even if it was shallow, it was like they couldn't accept that Jinx wasn't the same little girl she used to be. Then she happens to meet someone who's just as lonely as she is.
Now they can be lonely together.

Luxanna Crownguard, newly minted Star Guardian, finally had her life falling into alignment after escaping Durendal during her first term and arriving in Valoran City with nothing but a knapsack and a dream. A year later, she still doesn't know what she was doing when it came to leading her team, but at least she still had a team--and, somehow, they hadn't messed up their duties enough to throw the galaxy into total darkness. Little did she know that her escape from Durendal and the Battle Academies was not as final as she, or they, would have hoped.
