It was dead silent in the whole place as Tommy swiped the card.
Then the machine beeped, lighting up with a little red light in the corner.
The entire bar erupted with hoots and hollers, laughing and pointing fun at Wilbur, whose card declined the transaction.
Tommy handed it back with a small smile. “Sorry Wil,” he said, not feeling the slightest bit sorry. “You’re maybe two million short.”Wilbur’s eyebrows shot up on his head. “How much was that single Bloody fucking Mary?”

Technoblade was working quietly in his office when he heard a commotion erupt from down the hall. At first, he hardly did more than register it. With Tommy as a new member of their household, sudden bursts of noise were nothing strange.
But as it continued, he realized: this sounded different. Tommy wasn’t laughing, or bitching loudly at Wilbur. No. He sounded afraid, in a way Technoblade hadn’t heard in a while— and had hoped he’d never hear again.
He was just about to get up to investigate when the door slammed open and Tommy tumbled into his office.
Technoblade stood immediately, clocking Tommy’s tears and the stricken look that had settled on his face. Tommy slammed the door shut behind him and locked it. Before Technoblade could get so much as a word out, Tommy was dragging a chair in front of the door and jamming it under the handle.
“Tommy—”
The kid was hyperventilating.

His exhausted mind drifted to the only people he deemed important enough to want to be close to.
He wanted to die. Siren, the Blade, and the Angel of Death wanted to kill him. It was a match made in heaven.

Wilbur knew himself, hell, he’d been on this earth twenty plus years, it’d be borderline embarrassing if he didn’t know his own romantic preference at this point. And god, he could already hear all the ‘real adults’ in his life screaming at him if he even brought up the idea of liking men. “Oh, but you’re so charming! Surely you don’t want all those girls to miss out?” “Isn’t that a bit much? Why can’t you just be normal?” “Do you really wanna add one more problem on your plate?”
Problem.
That’s always what it was: Wilbur’s inattentiveness, his anxiety, his lack of motivation, and his constantly moving brain. They were problems, things he needed to fix, get over, things that bothered everyone and made Wilbur even more of a nuisance to be around. If Wilbur was queer, his sexuality would be just that:

Summary
Thomas Theseus Innit was only 5 when the zombie apocalypse started, 7 when his parents both lost their lives to the weirdly smart and athletic zombies.
Now here he was; after years of surviving on his own, wondering if his decision to go into this strangely abandoned city was a good one.
Especially since the place holds a few walkers way too sentient for his liking, and why won’t they leave him alone?
OrHis awakening wasn't so peaceful.
The first thing he noticed was that burning feeling that clung to his skin the moment he entered the city.
Like he was being watched.
Then he realized how dark it was. It must still be night, but the soft moonlight that acted as his only comfort was now gone, replaced by a tall shadow.
Tommy was confused for a moment, until the shadow moved.
He was up in an instant, whipping around to look at the bedroom window behind him.
There, squating on the apartment buildings fire escape, was a zombie.
It was right up against the glass, rapid breath causing it to fog from its proximity.
It’s blood shot eyes staring right at him.

“Who are you?” Techno asked. The boy straightened.
Instead of answering, he shot a question back. “Who are you?”
“Crown Princes Wilbur and Techno, heirs to the throne,” Wilbur answered. Techno watched as the boy’s facade fell, a confused and sad expression falling over his face as the words settled in. “And I think we deserve to know who’s claiming our palace as their own.”
“You– you’re, no– what?” The boy stumbled back a step, bringing his hands up to his chest to cradle them close. “Did they not tell you about me?” the boy asked, blue eyes glimmering in the light, crystalline tears beginning to gather around his lashes. “I’m Theseus.”
Or, Tommy is the forgotten royal bastard. He's spent his whole life wishing that his family will take him home. It just so happens that his cousins are visiting for the summer, and they have no idea who he is. He can only hope that he'll be remembered and be loved the way he deserves.
