Summary
After Sozin’s Comet, the Fire Nation sealed its borders with Katara and a wounded Zuko trapped inside. The rest of the world assumed he was dead, she was lost, and there was nothing left to do but mourn them. Five years later, the Fire Nation is rebuilding and the borders are finally open again.
But peace means very little to the children still waiting for medicine or to the people who are running out of patience. And none of them - not Zuko or Katara or Aang - are the people they were when the Fire Lord fell. Sooner or later they'll all have to face the choices they've made, what they owe to the people they couldn't save, and whether a love born in a cage can survive outside it.
The war is over. The revolution has just begun.

Katara has been suppressing her heat since she presented as an Omega, but after the Day of Black Sun, her supply ran out and fate is no longer something she can outrun.
The legends speak of two souls, scattered across time and nations, drawn together by the balance of the world.
The Water Tribe calls them Fatebound.
The Fire Nation names them Agni’s Chosen.

Summary
At the Northern Air Temple, the Mechanist betrays the Gaang and hands them over to the Fire Nation. Katara escapes alone and starts on a journey to rescue her friends.
After the pirates blow up his ship under Zhao’s order, Zuko is swept away by the tides. His unconscious body washes up on the shore where who else but Katara finds him and saves his life.
When he learns that Zhao has the Avatar, Zuko offers a deal that Katara would be foolish to refuse. But will they be able to work together without their enomosity and mistrust getting in the way?
