Summary
A knight by the name Theo is framed for a crime he didn't commit, and the only person who can help him prove his innocence is Liam, a shape-shifting boy who might also be the monster he's sworn to kill.
(Before you continue: This is a rewritten fanfic of the movie NIMONA, but in my version Theo's love interest is Liam, not Scott/Ambrosius. So the whole plot will go as normal, but Liam is actually an adult and not some tweeny kid)

Summary
After the death of Theo Raeken, Liam moves across the country to attend to Notre Dame University in Indiana, hoping to find some sort of closure after his best friend's death. He re-enters a relationship with Hayden, hoping this time he can fix what's broken.
All is going somewhat well until he goes to a bar and finds Theo, alive and singing Adele like his life depends on it. Everything comes crashing down after that.
It's a puzzle left unsolved, inevitably which Liam must test his feelings for Theo, his mind, and his loyalty to Hayden.

They kept at it—one step forward, one step back—until Alhaitham backed Kaveh into the bookcase. He knew Alhaitham couldn’t touch him in this spectral form, but that didn’t stop Kaveh’s heart from threatening to jump out of his chest at his predatory gaze.
“Your scent—you were there, in the bathroom,” Alhaitham said, voice low. “You watched me shower.”
If they could, his eyes would have widened even further.
