Although the world was never anything close to a utopia for omegas, even before the dead started walking, afterwards things got downright dire. Generally smaller and more prone to stress, it's no surprise that they're the first ones to be cast aside and left for dead. And any packs that they do end up within tend to go even worse.
Techno's seen it himself enough times to know. It's firsthand knowledge.
Luckily for Techno, the majority of his childhood was spent in extremely high stress scenarios, malnourished and never feeling safe. Which means that all of his omega nonsense is so stunted that he practically isn't even one! He is set on keeping everyone under that impression, no matter what it takes.
Even if this new pack seems startlingly different from everything that he was used to before.

Summary
Xisuma is the Void God of Vengeance, an ancient, incorporeal deity of protective rage and rightful revenge. His duty is to watch over the citizens of the Void that live in the material plane and rain justice on any that harm them. His job is not to slowly adopt an entire swarm of lost, injured, enslaved, and homeless children. He does that one on his own time.
Or: Xisuma is trying to live his best solitary life at the bottom of the earth but these children keep showing up and pulling him away from it.
