While out on a Saturday night patrol, Mikey suffers a bullet wound and falls unconscious. Once he wakes up, Donnie can't understand why Mikey's still so jovial.

And for as long as Michelangelo can remember, he’s always been perhaps too curious for his own good. His father would agree, if he were here, and when Mikey cranes his head upwards and lets the glow of the light follow, he’s very much wishing his dad was here with him.
Up on the ceiling hangs some sort of… creature.
In a very fast glance, Mikey would almost say it looked like an oversized squirrel on account of its long, curled, bushy tail that it had tucked to its contorted body where it hung upside down on the rafter. Its pointed buck teeth stood stark out the front of its snarled, almost grinning mouth, its beady little eyes were wide and glossy, almost big enough for Mikey to watch back his own terrified expression in their reflection.
It hisses at him — a high, keening sound that has him stumbling back hard enough that his shell hits the wall hard, pain buzzing hotly along the faintest of cracks there.
