Kris was done. They weren't going to tolerate the interdimensional invader in their ribcage any longer. And if they had to open a fountain to get rid of it, they were going to.
Or at least, they were. Until that invader offered something new: the chance to remember between resets. To make their own decisions with nothing more than some minor advice and a helping hand if requested. Naturally, Kris was interested. And that's why they woke up on Thursday morning, remembering two days that technically hadn't happened yet.
Messing with the code can be delicate work. Do the wrong thing at the wrong time, and the bridge might just break. Or change fundamentally.
It's a good thing nothing like that could happen, right?

Tommy didn't exactly think his "escape" from Logsteadshire through very well. He had basically no supplies, no food, was injured, and had to trek through the freezing cold and snow to have just a shred of a chance of revenge. It was looking pretty bleak for him as his head swam and his legs threatened to give out- good thing his older brother was exiled close enough to be a refuge.

Summary
When Tommy was hungry, he would crouch in the underbrush and wait for a rabbit to come by, shooting it with an arrow before spitting it over a small campfire.
When he was tired, he would rest against a tree or maybe climb into one for the night.
When he was lonely or scared or sad, he had no solution. Walking through the forest alone was better than being tortured by Dream, better than a pool of lava or a tall tower of dirt blocks, he reasoned. And he was only a temporary forest-man. Still, the quiet grated on his ears.
An AU in which Tommy runs away from not only Dream but the entire SMP, finding a new life and peace (and maybe an orphan who needs a home). When he's forced out of hiding seven years later, he's a changed man- Language:

Tommy turned his head to the side and almost jumped out of his skin as he saw his piglin brother staring at him with his sharp white eyes.
He flinched back, a shout caught in his throat as he began coughing hard. Techno cursed and helped Tommy sit up, a warm hand steady on his back as he attempted to cough his lungs out. As he finished coughing, he looked over at his brother, eyes clearly filled with confusion but also guilt and fear, “Tech? Why am I here?”
Techno pursed his lips, “You were out in the snow, Tommy. I thought you were dead.”
He looked down, “Sorry.”

“He’s gone,” Dream spoke easily, his wrapped hands waving off Tecnoblade’s harsh words. “He’s been missing for days. I visit him to check in on him, since I care about him, and he just disappeared. His things are gone, everything is out of order. I didn’t find a body, so it looks like he packed up and ditched. It’s okay, though, I’ll find him, I always do.”
The words gave Technoblade an icy feeling in his chest. The way Dream punctuated the last sentence made him feel like something was going on, and it wasn't something good. He wasn’t stupid like Tubbo (or, naive, rather) and he didn’t blindly follow a tyrant like the rest of the idiots in L’Manberg. He was his own person.
For a good week, things have been disappearing from Technoblade's house. With everyone living their own life, and Dream's clutch on his land tightening, Techno finds himself slowly piecing together what intruder has gotten into his house, and what they want exactly.Series
