Death waits around the corner, poppies growing in its shadow
Scythe in hand, it watches man prepare its gallows.
Fields of red, blood gone sour
The clock ticks its final hour
Full of folly, full of fear
None to run, as Death draws near.
Flower breaking through the earth, petals drought of iron
A storm waits to end your thirst and wash away your ire.
Trust not in shadows cast above, or the emptiness inside
For Death has met its match in the wanting of your life.
Field of poppies left to burn, culled by man’s desire
The rain has come to sate your lust for blood and fire.
Blame not Death nor darkness for the thorns you’ve come to know
Fools mean to spite your breath and take it for their own.
Thunder’s roar of fury and the cower at its cry
Run for cover, run for shelter, run as you may try,
Lightning breaks to strike you down, no roof shall leave you dry
Until all you know is brought to ash for the poppy left to die.

Summary
After her voice failed during the Golden Live Show practice, Rumi ran. What she didn't consider was Zoey and Mira following her. Them finding out she is a demon goes nothing like she thought it would.
Now, Rumi's patterns won't stop spreading, and she can't deny the connection she feels to the honmoon. She also can't deny how weak it seems to be getting. Gwi-ma probably knows they were about to seal the honmoon for good and has something planned. Something big that has every cell in Rumi's body vibrating.
If that wasn't enough, there's also this stupid fluttering in her stomach every time Zoey and Mira get close to her, which has been happening more and more since they saw her patterns.

Summary
The woman’s eyes widened, and her hand reached out, not quite touching Rumi, but close. “Not that you’re not beautiful, because wow, you-” She stopped, a look of realisation crossed her face “-I mean, no, wait, no, you are beautiful, but I wasn’t hitting on you, I have a girlfriend-”
Rumi ignored her chest squeezing.
“-A stunning girlfriend, Mira. I mentioned her, right? My girlfriend Mira-” The woman stopped abruptly and lowered her head down into her arms. “Jeez, Zoey, stop rambling at the deaf woman.” It was muffled, but Rumi heard it.
Silenced by grief, Rumi’s world is transformed when she crosses paths with Mira and Zoey, who guide her toward a voice she thought was lost forever.

Mira with Zoey holding her arm in a death grip: Hey, my girlfriend saw you from across the record shop, and we really dig your vibe. Can we buy you a vinyl?
