“Dick?” Bruce voice echoes from the room over. “Is that you?”
“Yeah,” Jason hums, pitching his voice slightly higher to match Dick’s.
He doesn’t even need to try to mask his Crime Alley drawl; he’s had enough practice of that over time, after all those years in stiff-collared dress shirts, speaking to rich gala attendees and acting as if he wasn’t filthier than the bottom of their dress shoes. Back when he was still Bruce's son.
After a run-in with a sorcerer leaves Bruce temporarily blind, Jason takes advantage of this to visit the manor whilst pretending to be Dick.

Summary
At the sound of a struck match, Tim twisted, fixed on the flame. “What?” His eyes followed the movement of Jason lighting his cigarette, and snuffing out the match in the dirt. The Florentine countryside was evidently quite dry, so he dug it in extra hard.
For a while, they watched each other, until Tim sniffed the air and said, “You smoke Marlboros.”
“That’s not in my personnel file?”
“No, it…” he caught himself and shook his head, once, like he didn’t mean to and had to catch himself again. Jason had thrown him, somehow. “It is. Ha.”
“Ha,” Jason repeated back, now thrown, himself. “What else is in there?” Beyond the cliff, a firework exploded in brilliant blues and greens, peacock-colored. It lit Tim’s left cheek and eye in cerulean. He was alien, cut from Kryptonite or something like it, horribly powerful and difficult to look at.
Tim said, “your shit schedule,” and turned back to the sky.(Tim asks Jason to help him work an undercover op in Italy. Things get complicated.)

The problem is, Bruce isn't out. Bruce is home.
Jason ends up not hating that as much as he thought he would. Also, Bruce wears a costume to make his son happy.
It works.

So... does Izuku just...take it out?
"Do NOT," he hears as soon as he starts reaching for the knife, "touch! The fucking knife!"
Izuku does not touch the fucking knife.

5 times Izuku tries to brush aside or take care of an injury on his own and Kacchan helps him, +1 time where Izuku leans on Kacchan's shoulder before he can get hurt.
(Or five times Katuski almost has an Deku-induced aneurysm and one time they're both okay thank fucking god)

Author’s an asshole that digs, digs into my chest with every carefully crafted sentence and makes my heart feel remembered or something
From every casual gestures of love shown between bkdk to the little different details about the kids, you paint every scene with so much care it makes me go honestly a little insane.
I’m gonna come back to this one again and again, I know it.
This brand of established bkdk is my absolute favourite to read for comfort and author delivers masterfully, as always.
I hope author realises that they’ve eased a lot of people’s burdens with their writing, more than they can imagine, I’m sure.
And that’s something to be proud of, don’t you think?
