Summary
Charlotte Heywood is a young doctor in New York City, exhausted by the realities of interning and residency applications, and quietly unraveling after leaving a relationship that never quite fit. In order to escape a shocking loss, her best friend Gigi treats her to a summer by the sea, where she accidentally begins exchanging letters with a man named Alex Colbourne, the reserved owner of their rented beach house in Sanditon. Over time, their correspondence deepens into something rare—intimate, honest, and transformative—despite the impossibility between them: Alex lives in 2008; Charlotte lives in 2010.

Summary

A short Heybourne alternate ending story...This little idea popped into my head as "Profoundly" was winding down and it distracted the heck out of me for weeks and weeks. I swear everything ends up okay, it IS Heybourne after all. The title of this story comes from the original lyrics to "Amazing Grace" by John Newton, published as part of "Olney Hymns" in 1779.
**I'm anticipating new chapters every week on Thursdays until I've posted them all. The chapters and overall story won't be super long though - just setting expectations up front.**
