Nothing prepared Hannibal to face Michelangelo’s David, living and breathing, here in the Renaissance Harborplace hotel ballroom. He was stunningly beautiful! Hannibal’s movements, as he turned, attracted the attention of the speaker who looked unconsciously in his direction, azure blue gaze met amber one, as if hell and heaven broke free. For a few seconds, they both stopped breathing and were unable to regain control of their actions. Then Hannibal automatically gave a blissful smile and the speaker cleared his throat again before pointing the laser at the slide on the screen behind him. Nothing else indicated that their lives were irremediably entwined from now on…

Summary
Hannibal successfully abducts Will to their European hideaway. Once Will stops fighting (or admits he doesn't want to fight), they settle into strange domesticity. Hannibal discovers Will is surprisingly lazy in bed, happy to lie back and be worshipped, pleasured, adored. After years of Will's resistance, Hannibal finds this surrender intoxicating. Their "married life" is cooking together, quiet evenings, and Hannibal lavishing attention on Will's body for hours while Will accepts it as his due.
