Summary
It’s been two months since the storm, and Childe hasn’t seen Zhongli not even once, not since that fateful meeting with the Signora where the truth is finally unveiled.
And what a fun little kick to the gut that is, the realization that not only had he been played by all sides, but he's also being tossed aside like trash now that his use had run its course.
It’s not that Childe doesn’t get it. He’s a Harbinger. He knows first-hand what it means to do his duty, to put the mission first and his personal feelings far, far away, preferably locked up in a box, where it wouldn’t interfere with his job. He knows what it’s like working with vipers, to scheme and plot and lie in wait for the opportune moment to stab his opponent in the back.
But this time, this time Childe can’t help but feel a little (a lot) gutted.
Stupid. He’s gotten himself stupidly attached.

Kazuha’s heart tugs a little, hearing her sing about a non-existent full moon and a home. They know she isn’t doing this on purpose; she doesn’t know their story, but oh, how beautifully tragic it is that she should be singing about the one thing Kazuha cannot, lest the truth is uglier out in the open. They had been raised to put much importance on their origins, their family, their home, but time and time again they’ve chosen to leave the land of thunder and eternity. Is it wrong? Is it wrong to want to leave a place that no longer holds any happy memory that hasn’t been struck to ashes? Is it wrong that they seek a home when it is supposed to be right there?
Xinyan sings of a beautiful place. Kazuha wants to go there, where there is a full moon, where eternity isn’t a painful standstill, but a constant as solid and homely as nature. She sings, and their worries are gently washed away. She sings, and Kazuha thinks that, just maybe, there is a place for them out there, after all.

Toni Stark grows up with the tale of Icarus swirling in the back of her mind. Instead of taking it as a precautionary tale about hubris and overreaching she decides it's more about the limitations of wax.
Years later when she builds herself wings of her own she makes sure to build them out of better material.

Midoriya Izuku is medically quirkless, not technically homeless, perpetually exhausted and doing his damned best despite it all. He also sees spirits, which might be cool if not for the fact that a) no one else does, b) they really don't like him very much, and c) he's pretty sure the heroes now think he's a villain working for the League.
Aizawa Shota just wants to take down Overhaul, rescue Eri, keep his students alive, get some rest, and find out how this Deku kid knows things he absolutely should not know about his personal life and the Shie Hassaikai case.
Unless Nighteye's right, and the kid really is a villain.

Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it.
But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless.
Not that anyone would believe it if he told them.
