He was a demon. A horned, winged, flame-spitting monster from the fiery pits. No one but Rhodey was privy to this information, and Tony liked to keep it that way. He liked things just fine how they were. Life has a way of pulling the rug out from under his feet, however, and he didn’t expect to be summoned by a kid from Queens one fateful day. Nor did he expect the kid to worm his way into his black heart so quickly.
He’s sure the big, shiny beings upstairs are laughing their asses off.

Miles doesn't know what's happened to Sonic. The blue hedgehog currently walking around terrorizing the residents of Green Hills was NOT his big brother. It almost looked like Sonic, and it called itself Sonic, but it was anything but Sonic. If only everyone else in Green Hills would realize this and focus on finding the real Sonic instead of blaming Miles.
Or: Miles gets bullied, and the horrible thing that's replaced his closest friend might actually have some trace of the original remaining somewhere deep down.

Phone calls at 2AM were never a good sign for Gordon Freeman, especially when the person calling is a panicked Tommy Coolatta. Apparently the two elderly members of the science team are trying to summon an undead king for shits and giggles with a book they found at Tommy’s place, so of course Gordon has to go stop them from causing an apocalypse at ass-O’clock in the morning. Once was enough, thank you very much.
Too bad their local eldritch cosmic entity didn't get the memo that he was trying to STOP it from happening.

Emmet has been banned from both joining the search parties and operating large machinery, so he’s been spending his days listlessly pacing their apartment, hoping that one day Ingo would just walk right through the door and back into his life.
So when that does happen (literally. Ingo walked THROUGH the door.) he doesn’t know what to think.

Giratina turns Ingo into a distortion ghost so he can eventually be reunited with his brother. He’s just gotta wait a few hundred years, is all. Unfortunately for Emmet, after a couple centuries, a person’s perception of time tends to get a little wonky.Better late than never, right?
