Summary
Dennis was a little. He didn’t have a good relationship with his family, he spent a couple weeks living on the eighth floor of the hospital, and intended to do it again with this new rotation, but that was found out instantly. At least it had been the mean girl that wanted to be his big sister, and not one of the caregivers who would freak out and lock him in a nursery to never see the light of day again.
Oh well. At least she was smart and could help him figure some stuff out.

"I just need to rest," Samira mumbles, her voice close to cracking. She looks down and traces shapes with the tip of her blood-stained sneaker. She knows rest won't come tonight.
After a second of hesitation, Jack slowly lifts his hand to cup her chin and tilt her head up, forcing her to make eye contact with him. She hears the rumble of his voice and the soothing lilt to his tone as he makes some sweet and way to generous offer as he so often does, trying to cajole her into letting him help solve her problems, but she can't hear it over the sound of blood rushing to her ears as she sinks into the dark, gaping chasm of childhood that split open in her mind.

Summary
Dennis believes in minor, harmless truths. Little white lies that save everyone around him from dealing with his existence.
But more omega patients start being admitted to the Pitt for the exact medication he's been using. His two alpha attendings keep asking questions they shouldn't be. He's starting to lose track of the lies as the threat of being known grows.

Dennis curls into himself even more. “I’m sorry.”

Or sleep deprived Jack tells Dennis off, Robby doesn't help, but they get their shit together eventually
