Summary
Frankie Bates was fed up, completely and utterly fed up. Why was it that men were allowed to go to war? To risk life and limb for their country, and yet women weren't allowed to. Yes, women were still invaluable to the war effort, but by god, was it unfair. She wanted to be out in the thick of it, doing what she could for her country.
So one morning, sick to the teeth of it, Frances decided to do something about it, which had somehow led to her being out in the African desert babysitting the SAS, especially a certain blond-haired psychopath.
Disclaimer: I do not condone war or the behaviour of some of these people while at war, I also understand that these where real historical people, but for the purpose of this, I am taking them as they were in the TV show, even if that means changing some parts of there lives. This is Fanfiction

“You’ll be alright, Rookie.” Ghost doesn’t share your worry. He holsters his weapon, your blood staining the grooved grip of his gun, and returns both hands to your shoulder. Your eyes flutter shut just briefly- just to rest- but he pops your cheek and forces you awake.
“Keep your eyes on me.” He orders. “Soap and the boys will be here with air evac soon.” You’re barely able to comprehend him, instead you focus on his eyes behind the mask. They’re narrowed slightly in concentration, probably under a professionally furrowed brow as well. You wonder fleetingly if he’s handsome under the balaclava and skull. It’s another silly thought, but you’d like to see his face before you die.

Unite 141 head on a mission to Al Mazrah with the intent to apprehend the terrorist Major Hassan. while there, their target gets away but they find in Hassan's possession is American missiles and the widely rumoured weapon named "project: Achilles". whatever their expectations for this rumoured weapon is quickly goes down the drain when cracking open the crate to see the a young malnourished teenager staring back at them with dead eyes.
(aka me wanting to write about these traumatized men taking care of a equally traumatized teenager and eventually adopting them. platonic story obviously, be warned though cause there is violence, blood, maybe some gore and child experimentation/child soldiers.)
