"Decked out was, on a surface level, simple game. Use your compass to find treasure, get the treasure, and don’t get knocked out by frenzied mamoswines. Simple! And that’s where the ‘on a surface level’ comes in. There’s cards and abilities that make the game easier for the player but tons of hazards and traps to navigate around, from the shuppet’s and gastly’s that float through the walls for an attack when the klank level gets too high, to the fierce delmise that he’d happily dubbed One Eyed Willy that lurks in the waters landing huge amounts of damages for those who get too close. The pokemon really help give the place the right atmosphere and are the reason Decked Out works."

Ren never really considered trusting a cop, much less Public Security, with a deal to clear their names during the summer. And who could blame him, considering their track record.
The more days that rolled by on the whirlwind of a vacation that was supposed to be more play and less work, though... the more he found himself trying to place his faith in one, even amongst his own self-doubts and constant (what he thought were irrational) fears.

Malevola has him pinned against her side, hanging onto him like she’s afraid he’s going to get swallowed by the drunken crowd. Sonar is on her other side, ears glowing faintly with the strobe lights as he knocks into her repeatedly.
Visi swings by, wipes the corner of his mouth, then disappears. Hot hands find his head a second- seconds? minutes? later. The flash of orange and black coming closer has him swaying dangerously to catch whatever Flambae starts to mutter against his ear. Something about shitty music?
Coop saunters past with a glint of metal, prying the empty tumbler from his hand. Punch Up appears with a full one to replace it. It makes his face flush when he takes a swig.
“Yo! Anyone seen Golem?” Prism pushes through. She’s got Waterboy by the wrist; She might be about to use him to purposely slip people and get them out of her way. Phenomaman is floating after them.
Visi comes back again, this time with Blazer holding on for dear life. They’re hugging like it’s the end of the world instead of just being drunk in a shitty bar. Blazer smiles, dimples showing. His vision swims.
The whiskey burns. So does the ache in his chest.
