“Can we play the cloud game?” Pom-Pom Dough Cookie asked, shifting in her spot under Mold Dough Cookie’s arm slightly.
The cloud game was one she invented after noticing the clouds had strange shapes when they were present, and that some of them kind of looked like things she’s seen before. Like one that looked like a heart, or a spore.
Her siblings had reluctantly joined in then, but she knows they really like the game now! They always agree to play it!
“Sure,” Venom Dough Cookie responded, switching their position around so they were lying on their back rather than on their side. “I already see a few.”

Summary

She could've protected them. She could've saved her people, gotten them out before it was too late. It was all because of Dark Enchantress Cookie. If it weren't for her, her kingdom would be alive and prosperous, and her friends would be alive. Her heart flooded with grief and resentment towards whoever and whatever destroyed her home.
Golden Cheese Cookie returns from war only to find that EVERYTHING has been decimated. Young and old, soldiers and civilians have been ruthlessly slaughtered, and all the city's riches have been reduced to dust, leaving the heartbroken queen as the city's sole survivor.
A canon-compliant story that follows Golden Cheese Cookie as she deals with the daunting aftermath of the Dark Flour War's annihilation of her kingdom.
NOTE (PLEASE READ) Parts of chapter one and the very end of chapter two contain graphic descriptions of cookie corpses in cookie terms. There is no violence or heavy angst after chapter one.
