It is all very confusing.
Perhaps not as confusing as a Triwizard Tournament gone array, feelings for his boyfriend conflicting with those for Harry Potter, their new DADA Professor, Mad-Eye Moody, and his habit of transfiguring students into ferrets, the disappearing Mr. Crouch, and a new class which gives him a glimpse into the Muggle world.
But, being a Malfoy in Gryffindor House, Draco has always been confused, so how could his fourth year be any different?

Summary
Draco Malfoy is entering is third year at Hogwarts, at the same time his cousin, Sirius Black, is exiting his twelfth in Azkaban. It's certainly been an eventful summer with the breakout being the only thing on wizard and witch's minds, but Draco can't be more ready to leave the Manor and get back to his friends and school.
Even so, just with every year, he can't expect the year to go normal. Not with so many classes he'll need a powerful Time-Turner to balance them all, a mysterious new teacher a little too close to the moon, a rampant beast ready to maul him, Dementors he can't even get close to without thinking he'll be back in the Chamber of Secrets, and fluttering butterflies, as always, but not just for one boy anymore. And, of course, there's still the matter of Sirius Black, out for his best friend's blood to finish the Potter line, whatever it takes.
He's a teenager now, that's for sure, but life at Hogwarts has never been calm, even for thirteen year olds.

A Malfoy in Gryffindor, who would've thought?
Certainly not Draco, but the Sorting Hat has long made his decision, and he's learned to live with it, with his three best friends Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and the famous Slytherin Harry Potter at his side. For a while, he thinks the chaos of their first year is behind them - that they're all ready for a safe year with his favorite person in the world as their Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher - but then his father starts talking about the past with sketchy friends. Then writing appears on the walls in red.
