OR; Finn and Shelly have developed a friendship of some sorts, and Glisten finds himself bothered by this. He isn't particularly sure why, but he refuses to accept he may be jealous.

He couldn’t help but replay his failure again and again in his mind, like a rewinding tape: his confidence wavering, the feeling of the stage as it dug into his knees, the irritated barking of voices around him. He’d failed. He didn’t do that, ever. He was Glisten. Glisten doesn’t fail.
Glisten doesn’t fail. It was an undeniable fact. Anyone with half a brain could tell you that!
And yet … why had that happened?
