The Demon Realm — apparently that is what it’s called — is still terrifying, but—less so, with Veralyn at his side. He… he doesn’t handle it very well. He doesn’t know how to handle it. Because it’s just that, just a realm like his own, full of people and families and schools and houses, just like Hartford. In a way, Bonesborough is almost charming; sure, it’s a lot rougher than he's used to, but he thinks he can understand the appeal of it.
But it hurts his head, trying to make sense of it all.
Witches aren’t evil. But they are, he’s known they were since he can remember knowing anything. But they aren’t. They’re just people, maybe, who are capable of magic. Spell circles. Bile sacs. No devil hellbent on the destruction of humanity, at least not in the witches’ actions.
He doesn’t handle that realization very well, either.

After Hunter's Panic attack, Hunter basically gets a concussion after falling down and tripping while running through the woods. Darius and Raine find him collapsed on the ground and try to nurture him back to health much to Hunter's disagreement and difficultness.
Hunter eventually gets better due to Raine's whistle potion, but that doesn't mean that Hunter fully understands what is going on. Enjoy the shenanigans as Hunter believes that he is being kidnapped while Raine and Darius try their best to keep Hunter from causing any more harm to himself than he already has.Bookmarked by Finnoky

Hunter relaxed his shoulders ever so slightly after Belos released his chin, though his ears still pointed downward— it was a tell he hadn’t quite mastered the art of hiding yet, and his uncle picked up on it immediately.
“What’s bothering you?” Belos asked.
Hunter’s face twisted into a hesitant expression as he tightly gripped at the ends of his shirt, nearly piercing his nails through the fabric and into his palms. Then, wisely knowing better than to keep his uncle waiting, he opened his mouth and tried to work up the courage to ask the question on his mind.
“Why… Why do you keep me around?"
Summer meant staying at the Imperial residence in Latissa, but what was once a summertime retreat for Hunter melted into a reminder of his uselessness. And while ditching the day's lessons may not have been the wisest choice, it was the one Hunter made.
