Bitty never should have told Jack that he found Connor kissing that lacrosse player. He can't face Connor thanking him for keeping that to himself when he knows that he didn't. He tells Connor, it doesn't go well.
A rewrite of the conversation Bitty and Whiskey have in 4.18 about what happened in 4.9 and 4.10. I love Bitty but he sure dropped the ball there. He forgot what that paralyzing fear was like and why and so he messed up.

One night Steven has a nightmare. Amethyst is there to help him through it and he finally accepts that there's something really wrong and he needs help. They speak to Greg who sets up Steven's first-ever therapy visit with Dr. Mac Tyler who is the local expert on treating trauma.
A story about Steven learning that he has PTSD and what that means for him and his family and friends. Also a story about how Greg and the Crystal Gems realize that they've been treating Steven like he's an adult for far too long and how much that messed him up. Basically, everyone learns about trauma and everyone learns about what part they play in recovery. Everyone will probably go to therapy.
This is very much a love letter to my own recovery <3 -

It was like watching a puppeteer pull all of Harrow’s strings simultaneously, Gideon thought; the little hagette stood straighter, though not taller- she was still five foot nothing, more furious purse dog than shaking purse dog- but she nodded firmly, once, before turning to Cam.
"Very well,” she said. “Marry me, Camilla.”
A vicious spit-take on Gideon’s part translated to one exceptionally high eyebrow in Cam, but nothing more.
“Like I said,” Cam began carefully, “I’m married to Dulcie, and unfortunately, polyamory is not recognized under the UCMJ. I can’t marry you without her losing her benefits.”
Then, because Cam was the absolute worst, she shrugged and said, offhandedly,
“Why don’t you marry Gideon?”- or -
Harrow needs health insurance, and Gideon needs Harrow (to not be a dick.) What better way to provide for them both than a little light fraud between frenemies?

Gideon is convinced that if her and Harrow just said "fuck it" and banged it out, the weird tension that exists between them would finally be resolved; so, she created a totally simple, not at all convoluted, multi-step plan to seduce Harrow. It was going really well, too, until Harrow promised to make out with her if she attended their organic chemistry study group each week.
Not that Gideon was complaining about the kissing or anything. It was just now things were getting emotionally messy and their dynamic was slowly but surely developing into something complicated. And she had to read a fucking textbook.
(This is a retelling of my other fic, We Have Chemistry, from Gideon's POV. It contains enough new scenes that it should be interesting to people who have already read WHC and enough repeated scenes that those who haven't read WHC will still be able to enjoy this!)
