Summary
The continuation of my rewrite, alternative reality timeline version of the Harry Potter books series. The series is a work in progress and my main objective is to rewrite all books while following a few of the major canon events with different circumstances and other plot points that will be either changed, completely new or deleted.
English is not my first language and this is my first time actually writing a fanfiction, I'm willing to hear all forms of constructive criticism and pardon me for my mistakes when it comes to wrong wording or certain inconsistencies.
This is fan project and by no rights I own Harry Potter or any of it's characters. I'm not gaining any money from this and all rights are to be remained by J.K. Rowling and her team.

When it all became too much, when she got scared enough to remember that, after all, they were just kids, she would imagine them together, draped in summer, laughing by the water. If she reached out, she could almost touch them.

After almost losing Harry, Hermione decides that, if they are going to win the war against Voldemort, she will have to lead. The story begins at the Battle of Hogwarts. After the diadem is destroyed, everything changes.

After her less-than-glorious triumph with the resurrection potion, Hermione has to deal with the ramifications of her actions. It's a totally new experience for her as she begins to understand just how far-reaching those consequences will be. After all, no one's ever actually resurrected someone from the dead before. She and Sirius will navigate their new normal together as she attempts to finish out her sixth year.
Since the beginning of her year has been so fraught with bringing him back, surely the rest of the year will be smooth sailing. Right? Or maybe Harry is right, and Draco is up to no good. "If you think that hurts me you have sincerely underestimated how much I despise you." He doesn't look at me, keeping his eyes trained on one of his many rings that glitter in the light of the candles.
I gather my things in my bag as fast as I can before storming past him. If there's one thing I don't want the great Draco Malfoy to see me do is cry. Before I make it to the door he grabs my arm and forces my face up to look him in the eye. His pale grey eyes meet mine in a car crash of emotions. Before I manage to tear my arm out of his grip I swear I see a hint of regret but it is gone too quickly to be sure. Replaced by his normal gaze, sweet as poison.
